10 New SmackDown Matches Made Possible By WWE’s Superstar Shakeup

5. Andrade Almas Vs. Jeff Hardy

Matches against Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano in NXT proved that Andrade Almas is at his best when working wrestlers with a similar fluidity of movement. Jeff Hardy might be approaching 41, but he can still move well despite years of punishing bumps and scrapes that have taken a physical toll.

Hardy would also surely be lifted by the way Almas glides around the ring and seamlessly moves from spot to spot like Jeff himself did duringhis prime. Letting Almas display his talents against a respected veteran like Jeff Hardy would be a fine way to introduce he and Zelina to the main roster.

By pinning the story down with an easy comparison between Zelina Vega and a young Lita, WWE would give the Almas/Vega combo instant recognition amongst old-school fans who may or may not even be aware who they are; not everyone watching will religiously tune into NXT, and that's a fact WWE need to counter.
