It's a fascinating commentary on modern-day WWE that there are so many ex-TNA stars filling up the current rosters on Raw and SmackDown. Even though Jeff Hardy definitely made his name in WWE, he had a solid career in TNA too, and some of his most remarkable matches came against AJ Styles.

Following an Impact Wrestling one-off in 2004, Hardy and Styles memorably clashed again years later in 2013. Watching that would provide a better indication of what Jeff vs. AJ might be like now.

There's a feeling that Jeff has regained the in-ring fire he had between 2008-09 and become a smarter, more consistent worker by virtue of his experience. Imagine the match he could have with AJ Styles, a man who has blossomed into a mastermind in mixing wrestling psychology with the blistering modern style fans expect.

Styles vs. Hardy is a match that has never happened in WWE before. It's one both men would enjoy, and that'd come across in their efforts on TV. Put this in front of a live crowd and watch as they rise to their feet 10-15 minutes deep.
