Teaming with Rich Swann against the Alicia Fox/Noam Dar tandem kept Sasha Banks occupied for a few weeks, but ‘The Boss’ is far too talented to remain in a preliminary role much longer. With her and the former Cruiserweight Champion victorious last night, WWE’s best option is to restore her prominence in the women’s division, and a title feud with Alexa Bliss seems the likeliest direction.

Bliss has crushed Bayley’s momentum, and there’s no value left in their feud. Last night’s title match was crushing and decisive, and Bayley’s popularity is plummeting. Banks has no such problems, however, and while barely a week passes without talk of her turning heel, her popularity and positive momentum makes her a great choice to clash with Alexa.

Their personalities are strong enough to carry the division all the way to SummerSlam if need be. Bliss and Banks have clashed a couple of times on Raw, but rarely head-on, so there’s plenty of untapped material to cover. It’s a fresh, new, and exciting rivalry that should help pull the division from its current slump, re-establish the belt as one of the company’s most prestigious, and give Bayley a much needed break from the spotlight.
