10 New WWE Directions After The 2020 Draft
8. RAW's Generation Defining Women's Division
If SmackDown's tag team division came out of the draft looking a little gaunt, RAW's women's division must still be celebrating the bolstering of its own ranks. How stacked does the Monday night female roster look now? Counting those currently out injured there are seven former champions in the ranks, and another three who have competed for top titles over the last few months.
Has there ever been a more stacked women's division? Asuka is currently the woman on top, a dominant presence at the top of the table, but the Empress of Tomorrow has gone from a dearth of challengers to arguably too many. Naomi, Lacey Evans and Nikki Cross all came over in the draft, and the red show also retained the services of current tag champs Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax. Add the currently unavailable Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, and what a division you have.
Alexa Bliss is the wildcard. Another of the former champions to move from SmackDown to RAW, Bliss is currently tied up in a story with Bray Wyatt (more on that shortly), one that will end with Bliss being firmly established as a top star. What price Bray and Alexa standing tall as champions by the summer of 2021? It is just one of the many options available for the women's division on RAW.
And with all that talent, it is Lana who gets the next shot at Asuka. Go figure.
