9. What Now For Andrade?

Over the two nights of the draft (and the subsequent online supplemental drafts), SmackDown made 18 picks while RAW made 23. Heck, even NXT picked someone up. 14 names remained undrafted, men and women of various relevance, most of whom are injured or have been off television for a while. Names like Maryse, Jinder Mahal, Bo Dallas and the pregnant Man, Becky Lynch.

The most notable absentee from the draft was former NXT and United States Champion, Andrade. Why wasn't El Idolo picked up? He may have spent much of the year arguing with Angel Garza, but are you telling me that those making the picks for RAW and SmackDown saw more value in names like Titus O'Neil, Dabba-Kato and Lana than Andrade? That is a stretch, to say the least.

But the fact remains that Andrade went undrafted. There will almost certainly be a legitimate reason for that but how will WWE explain it? Can we expect Andrade to go on a Heath Slater-style crusade for a job, or is the former IWGP Intercontinental Champion simply going to take time off and eventually return alongside his fiancée, Charlotte Flair? Expect the latter.
