Make no mistake, Toni Storm was already one of the top in-ring performers in AEW's Women's division long before she went all black and white.

However, even when the terrific New Zealander began spreading her wings a little on the mic as a heel AEW Women's World Champion in Tony Khan's world - occasionally threatening to slap the t*ts off her rivals - it still often felt like Toni was being overshadowed by the rest of her fellow Outcasts on the road to All In 2023.

But then, after shockingly dropping her strap to Hikaru Shida a few weeks before that Wembley show, something suddenly snapped within the then-former champ.

Instead of simply being an arrogant heel determined to get her hands back on her belt by any means necessary, Storm's character was tweaked to that of a fallen champion slowly losing her mind over that monumental defeat.
