10 Next Steps AEW MUST Take After Double Or Nothing

6. Beef Up The Women's Division

All Elite Wrestling's women more than held up their end of the bargain on Saturday night. The joshi six-woman tag was blow-away, and a legitimate 'Match of the Night' contender, while the fatal four-way provided a strong introduction to the performers most likely to occupy the division's upper tier for the rest of the year. That said, it still feels like the group is a few signings from completion.

Awesome Kong would be a great pick-up if, indeed, All Elite are looking to expand. Hers was one of DoN's biggest and best surprises and drew a massive performance in the arena. The counter-argument would be that signing her undermines Nyla Rose, as Kong is still great at being Kong, but AEW could turn this into a storyline culminating, ultimately, with the 'Native Beast' overcoming the legend in a torch-passing bout.

The joshi wrestlers would make great signings, too. Of this group, only Hikaru Shida is signed, but Yuka Sakazaki was arguably the bout's biggest standout, and Riho Abe is one of Japan's most promising young prospects. Aja Kong, meanwhile, could be used on a part-time basis, brought in whenever AEW needs a veteran destroyer.

As far as free agents go, AEW should be in the phone to Tenille Dashwood and Mercedes Martinez ASAP.
