10 Next Steps For Brock Lesnar After WWE SummerSlam 2016

7. Brock Lesnar Vs. Seth Rollins

That being said, while Roman Reigns was one of the main reasons that Lesnar lost his championship, the other reason—and perhaps the more significant one—was Seth Rollins’ Money in the Bank cash-in.

That in itself would be enough of a story on which to base a rematch, but remember these two have actually met in singles competition on another occasion since then. As part of Triple H’s plan to see how Rollins could cope when subject to immense pressure, Lesnar was brought in as a surprise challenger to The Architect's WWE Championship at last year’s Battleground pay-per-view.

Once again, Lesnar looked to be well on his way to WWE Championship glory, but this time it was the turn of the Undertaker to make the untimeliest of entrances and shatter Lesnar’s title aspirations.

Much like the case of Lesnar vs. Reigns, this would be a simple story to tell, but it would probably also require a world title of some sort. Again though, Rollins could easily be crowned the next WWE Universal Champion, and from there it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to bring Lesnar back into contention for a final showdown with Rollins.
