Role: Host

Thank you for putting up with my seven previous entries of Incredibly-Sensible-And-Well-Thought-Out Backstage Talent Acquisition. Entry 1 in this list is that directive to its logical conclusion so, as a reward for your persistence here, I'm going to give you two wild ones now. Two men who could conceivably join the company if you... like... squint a bit.

Jon Stewart f***ing loves wrestling. He's done a programme of sorts with Seth Rollins, he's hit John Cena over the head with a chair, the man has lived the dream of every fan who's ever fantasy booked themselves into the WWE. After 16 years hosting The Daily Show though, he's leading a very, very quiet life raising a family, tending to livestock, and not getting into arguments on Twitter. Boo. Boring. Let's get him back.

Even if it's only for special events, let John Oliver host All Elite's panels and pre-shows. Let him bring both his star power and his style to the events and mark out over the matches like each and every one of us would in the same position. Throw money at him, and make non-wrestling fans channel-hopping stop dead in their tracks and think "wait... was that John Oliver hosting a sports show... oh wow it's wrestling!".
