1. Tributes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqieKvt9BS0 The best nostalgia tear jerking segments in WWE are the numerous tribute videos that the production team conjures up. The video department at WWE really are first class at using music and archive footage to create truly moving videos. Unfortunately, the nostalgia in these videos is punctuated by tragedy. It's a real shame and it's true in other aspects of life, the only time we really appreciate the past is when we lose it from our future. WWE have produced some excellent tribute videos over the years, packed with nostalgia that reminded us of just what brilliance has been lost. The Eddie Guerrero Raw Tribute show that aired on November 14 2005 (the day after Eddie's death) was one of WWE's most emotional nights. It opened with a tribute video that used Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' as it played through footage of Eddie's childhood and his working life alongside friends and family. The nostalgia at seeing Eddie's greatest moments was powerful alongside the sadness at losing him. There wasn't a dry eye in the house after that video. But it is teary nostalgia after every tribute video that WWE produces. Way too many wrestlers die way too soon. The sadness felt in these retrospective moments is always one of woeful tears.
