Five months later, "The British Bulldog" would headline at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 countrymen when he captured his first and only WWE Intercontinental title. On April 5, 1992, as McMahon rolled out his best laid plans in front of 60,000-plus in Indianapolis, Smith was nowhere to be found. In actuality, Smith was booked for a one-on-one match with The Berzerker (and was announced on WWE programming), which would most certainly have been a win for Bulldog, given each man's respective place on the roster at the time. Instead, the match was trimmed due to time constraints, and the company's ace European draw (they would tour the region weeks later) ended up omitted. Also, poor Berzerker, who never once got to perform at WrestleMania, in any year.
