10 Notable Wrestlers WWE Didn't Book For WrestleMania
5. Razor Ramon (WrestleMania 12)
Like Smith and Bigelow, Razor too was scheduled for a WrestleMania match, except his wasn't cancelled the day of the show. Ramon was originally supposed to exact revenge on Goldust, challenging for his Intercontinental title in a street fight. Instead, Rowdy Roddy Piper came out of self-exile to take over the story, humbling Goldust in a Hollywood Backlot Brawl. So why was Razor, who initially appeared on the 'Mania 12 advertising, taken off the card? In February 1996, he gave McMahon notice that he was leaving for WCW in May, so McMahon responded by suspending him for six weeks for a failed drug test. The failure was legitimate; McMahon was likely willing to let it slide if it meant keeping a marquee performer around for WrestleMania. Scott Hall's decision to leave changed his mind.
