5. Killian Dain

While his wife might still be fighting injustice alongside Rhea Ripley in WWE, The Beast of Belfast is plugging away with indie dates until the major promotions pick up the phone.

Making Killian Dain a megastar should have been simple. Just stay the course of his original NXT run. Alas, despite being the bruiser in one of NXT's most popular stables, a NXT Tag Championship reign, putting on incredible performances at NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2017 and NXT TakeOver: New Orleans and once again being everything Vince values in a monster heel, the main roster handoff of SAnitY was fumbled just as so many other call-ups had been before and since.

The group spun their wheels on SmackDown for months, the highlight of which was being briefly used in the Shane McMahon vs. The Miz WrestleMania 35 feud and missing out on the match itself. Before long, SAnitY was scattered to the wind with Dain and partner Alexander Wolfe sent back to NXT and NXT UK respectively, Nikki Cross splitting her time between all three brands, and group leader Eric Young relegated to enhancement work on Monday Nights.

Young, who was part of the first wave of cuts in April 2020, departed for his old home in Impact, as did Dain's SAnitY predecessor, Madman (Sawyer) Fulton. With Dain and Wolfe back on the market after the 25 June 2021 cuts, an 80% reunion of SAnitY under a similar but legally distinct name is an enticing prospect.
