10 Most Notorious CM Punk Urban Legends

7. He Hates The Miz

Story: CM Punk never headlined a WrestleMania in his WWE career. He's had big matches, including a WWE Title match, but he never got to wrestle in the last match. Meanwhile, The Miz did. If you asked the average fan or even the "smart" fan who the bigger star is between the two, almost all of them will answer CM Punk. They should. He's better. It's pretty obvious. Miz has his moments and had a solid run for a short period, but when comparing the two as overall talents it's clear that Punk is the better performer. Here's how Punk explained his opinions on that WrestleMania 27 snub in a November 2011 interview: "In my world, the best bad guy wrestles the best good guy. I was specifically told, 'Hey, leading up to WrestleMania we don't really know what you're going to do yet but you're going to be John Cena's little TV feud.' I was like, 'I'm nobody's TV feud. That's bulls**t.' They just continued to piss me off." Punk felt he was the best in early 2011. Apparently management did not because Miz headlined WrestleMania 27 with Cena and that decision led to a lot of the anger that Punk had. Why People Believe It: Punk was never shy about ripping The Miz in interviews and on his DVD. Since they weren't feuding and they were both heels at the time, it was believable that they had legit heat. Should We Believe It: It's hard to know exactly what the relationship is, but I'll say that Punk doesn't have hate for him. Hate is a strong word. He might like him socially, but Punk absolutely feels he's better than him. When you watch Punk's DVD you could tell he wasn't happy that The Miz got the WrestleMania main event push in 2011 instead of him. In interviews later, Miz commented that he put Punk over on his DVD, yet he watched it to see Punk ripping him. They probably aren't the best of friends, but they get along.
