2. She Stole Triple H From Chyna Leading To Chyna's Release
Story: It's well publicized that Triple H was dating Chyna from around 1996 until 2001 or so. It was around that time when Hunter started dating Stephanie also. Chyna found out because she claimed she was snooping around and saw love letters from Stephanie to Hunter in those days. During a 2011 interview, Chyna explained what happened when she confronted Stephanie about it: "She took me into the room, we talked, and she goes, 'Well, I love him. Hes my man. Im sorry if you feel that way' and I shut her up. I said, 'Shut up. Call your dad in here because Im going to choke you out.' 'If you really feel that way, take control of yourself,' then Vince came in and said, 'Lets do a new contract. I know this is tough for you but its going to be okay.' Then I went home and I got a fax saying they didnt need me anymore." She was fired by fax. Pretty harsh for somebody that was one of the top divas in the company for about five years and was really popular too. Her name is almost never uttered by WWE employees anymore. Why People Believe It: The relationship of Stephanie and Hunter was well known among internet fans when they started dating in 2001. That was around the same time that Chyna was fired too. Should We Believe It: Yes. No offense to Chyna, but Stephanie's better looking, comes from a successful family that has a business that Hunter loves and she was obviously very aggressive if she went after a guy that was dating somebody she worked with. He definitely upgraded marrying Stephanie instead of Chyna. Look at where he is now. With that said, there is a moral issue. Dating a guy that had a girlfriend that you worked with is pretty shady on Stephanie's part.
