10. Ben Stiller Was Late For Raw Appearance Due To Smoking Pot

Story: Actor Ben Stiller appeared on Raw in 1999 at a time when he was one of the biggest movie stars in the world. It was a big get for WWE and this was at a time when they really weren't using a lot of celebrities on the show all the time. What we didn't know about the appearance is that they couldn't find him. This comes from WWE's former writer Vince Russo in a feature here at WhatCulture this past June where he let us know why they couldn't find Stiller: "When we had Ben Stiller on €˜Raw€™, I couldn€™t find him to produce the pre-tapes we needed. Where was he? How about smoking the WACY-TABACKY with Road Dog and X-Pac behind the trailers!!! When we finally found Ben, who was promoting 'Mystery Men' at the time, he was more than willing to take on a direct blow to the head courtesy of Double J€™s, Jeff Jarrett€™s guitar. To this day I don€™t know if Ben agreed so willingly because he was a 'mark', or simply still high due to his earlier escapades with Sean Waltman and Brian James." Smoking pot in wrestling isn't anything new. However, it's interesting that Stiller was late for a segment for that reason. His segments were a GTV bit and also the in-ring segment with Jarrett. Why People Believe It: Russo was WWE's head writer, so it makes sense that he would be privy to that kind of info. Should We Believe It: Yes we should. Stiller told Jarrett that his favorite superstar was Debra's "puppies" and then received the guitar shot from Jarrett, who was doing his gimmick where he hated that she was getting all the attention that he thought he deserved.
