10 NXT Call Ups To WWE Main Roster – 5 We Will See And 5 We Won’t

They are all immensely talented, but not all are guaranteed to make it to Raw and Smackdown.

In the last year, NXT has essentially become a third main roster brand in WWE. This leaves us wondering whether or not the stars of Full Sail will still be called up to the bright lights of Raw and SmackDown.

On the surface, you’d think not. Since NXT now goes head to head every Wednesday night with AEW Dynamite, the logical thing for WWE to do would be to keep the big stars confined to the Full Sail brand in order to try and outdo their new, All Elite competitors.

However, in recent times, we have already seen stars such as Shayna Baszler, Bianca Belair and Angel Garza make the jump to Raw. With the company constantly signing an influx of indy talent for the yellow and black brand, there is certainly no shortage of stars at NXT’s disposal.

This, combined with NXT’s innate ability to constantly build new stars, means that the old will have to filter out for the new and move on to bigger and brighter things. Or worse things, depending on how you look at the treatment of previous NXT talents on the main roster...

10. WON'T - Tyler Breeze

The harrowing story of Tyler Breeze’s WWE career is one that will be complained about on the internet for years to come.

One of the most over talents to ever come out of Full Sail, Breeze had the fans eating out of the palm of his hands with his pretty boy male model gimmick. Oozing charisma, with immense in ring ability to back it up, it almost seemed certain that Breeze was destined for greatness on the main roster.

However, when originally called up in 2015, his shtick didn’t really click with Vince McMahon. This led to creative giving him nothing but meaningless undercard rivalries, he disappeared off TV entirely. Striking gold with fellow struggling superstar, Fandango, it appeared both men were back on track and headed for tag team success. As Breezeango, the two were able to show off their hilarious brand of comedy on the revamped SmackDown Live, becoming the highlight of every Tuesday night.

An unfortunate injury to ‘Dango left Breeze with nothing to do. Receiving a hero’s welcome upon return to Full Sail, fans' minds salivated at the thought of dream encounters with the likes of Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream. But alas, it was a different NXT than how he’d left it, and Breeze soon became lost in the shuffle with the plethora of indy stars the brand had to offer.

With sporadic appearances on NXT television, don’t expect Prince Pretty to ever return to Raw and SmackDown.
