NXT backstage interviewer Devin Taylor has a tough hill to climb if she's going to meet and exceed the standard set in her role by its previous occupant, Renee Young. Unlike model-turned sports entertainer Taylor, Young's a natural babyface, and her ability to transfer sympathy from herself to other performers makes her an invaluable asset as a performer. From selling for Sami Zayn's natural charisma to being enough of a fan to understand the simplicity of what her job requires and getting that over to WWE fans, she's a star. By comparison, Taylor is not as skilled in this role as yet, and her shortcomings - while not enough to get her fired, per se - are certainly not yet meeting to the level of Young.
