9. Authors Of Pain Win Tag Team Titles
The NXT tag team division was perhaps the highlight of entire brand in 2016, with great matches from the likes of The Revival, #DIY and American Alpha on a regular basis. The debut of the gigantic Authors of Pain earlier this year under the management of Paul Ellering was also a massive moment and it seems likely that Akam and Rezar will have a big 2017.
They won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic last month and will take on either #DIY or The Revival for the tag team titles at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio in January. Whether or not that will be the stage where they win the tag titles or not, it seems highly likely that the team will capture the championships at some point in the new year.
Although the team are still very green - as their a bit too brutal assault on NXT earlier this week showed - working with more experienced teams like #DIY, The Revival, Aries & Strong and TM-61 during a championship run would help them improve tenfold atop the card.
