10 NXT Superstars That Will Struggle On WWE's Main Roster

6. Samoa Joe - Works Best With Smaller Wrestlers

It didn't take long for Samoa Joe establish himself as a professional wrestling bad ass. He looks like the guy at a bar that you don't want to mess with and his strike and submission based offense look legitimately painful in the ring. As great as Joe is, though, a lot of his best work has come against smaller workers that he can play the monster too. He's worked with bigger guys before - his legendary match with Kenta Kobashi, for example - but that was more of an exhibition style affair that played mostly off the kind of exchange of stiff strikes that WWE wouldn't be fond of. Meanwhile, his main event level matches in TNA against the likes of AJ Styles and Kurt Angle benefited from the undefeated monster push Joe had received in TNA that he's less likely to get in WWE. His later years in that company showed how Joe can struggle when he isn't booked as a destroyer. Joe could easily ply his trade in the midcard, but at 37 years old its unlikely WWE will invest the time needed to present him as the main event level threat he would need to be to make a world title run.
