10 NXT Wrestlers Who Will Never Make It To WWE's Main Roster

3. Bayley

There€™s no denying that Bayley has become surprisingly popular with the NXT audience. There€™s something about her gimmick that garners a positive reaction, no matter how cheesy or strange it may seem. But a weird gimmick and accompanying hairstyle to match do not a main roster Diva make, no matter how many hugs she might give. Consider the main roster career of Bayley€™s rival Emma. She had a unique (read: awful) entrance theme and dance, which somehow became popular with the NXT roster. But, as demonstrated by numerous €˜graduates€™ from NXT to the main roster, Emma€™s gimmick received no reaction whatsoever, and within a few weeks, she became a comedy character, before disappearing from the show altogether. This is the kind of fate that would await Bayley should she consider debuting on the main roster right now. Though she's a great wrestler, and her gimmick is a huge sigh of relief for those who are tired of seeing WWE€™s women act like catty, jealous b*tches (read: everyone), Bayley€™s an NXT act, through and through. That€™s not necessarily a bad thing, though. NXT is Triple H€™s domain and he, like Bayley€™s core gimmick, is a wrestling fan. A woman playing a wrestling fan character belongs on the wrestling show, instead of on the €˜entertainment€™ show that features little-to-no storyline and character development for every woman not named Stephanie McMahon.
