10 Most Obnoxious People In Wrestling

3. John €˜Johnny Ace€™ Laurinaitis

With an inability to act or deliver a promo that€™s so off the charts bad that it rates a 7 on the Bella Scale, Johnny Ace was a wrestler that could only ever make it in Japan, where being made of wood is seen as a strength rather than a weakness. However, it€™s the way in which he parlayed his backstage unpopularity as Vice President Of Talent Relations into an on air heel authority figure role that he€™ll be best remembered for. Featuring prominently in CM Punk€™s legendary €˜pipebomb€™ worked-shoot promo that kicked off the Second Summer Of Punk in 2011, Laurinaitis is actually genuinely despised in WWE as being the kind of mealy-mouthed sycophant that€™s anathema to the macho world of professional wrestling. What was it Punk called him? A glad-handing, nonsensical, douchebag yes man. Ouch. Johnny Ace was the man that Vince McMahon and others high up in the WWE used as their hatchet man, the backstabbing crony who pretended to be one of the boys, but would €˜future endeavour€™ anyone at the drop of a hat, and without blinking an eye. His executive career was reportedly on the skids before he was outed as one of McMahon€™s right hand men by Punk in June 2011, and following this, his gormless face and trademark deep, utterly expressionless voice graced RAW in a General Manager€™s role for several months, buying him a little more time with the company. He would eventually manage to hang on to a job as a road agent, a role he continues in to this day.
