10 Obscure WWE Tag Teams You Totally Don't Remember

4. Shoguns

Time to admit something shameful.

The guy writing this piece is a sucker for WWF Superstars circa 1995. It's some of the worst wrestling TV ever, but it's like a warm hug or a nostalgia comfort blanket. Time for another confession. He doesn't actually really recall seeing Hakushi and Kwang team together as Shogun in early '95.

Shogun was over in the blink of an eye, to be fair. Kwang was repackaged as Savio Vega shortly afterwards, and Hakushi went on to bigger and better things (at least temporarily) by feuding with Bret Hart on pay-per-view. Their partnership was a short-lived experiment designed to capitalise on twin "martial arts backgrounds" (Vince McMahon's words on commentary).

Suddenly, after failing to win many matches as a team, the pair began brawling and sparked a mini-feud that ended on Superstars. Perhaps if anybody ever writes a list about feuds that existed solely on 'B' or 'C' show programming, this will get some attention.
