Is this cheating? This feels like cheating.

Technically, despite mainly being mentor and protege, Roddy Piper and Sean O'Haire did work in-ring as a WWE tag team. Together, the duo worked a short exchange vs. Eddie Guerrero and Tajiri on the 26 June 2003 episode of SmackDown. Hey, Eddie and Tajiri were weird too - maybe they should've been here instead.

Nah, Roddy and O'Haire get the nod because their pairing felt so unnecessary. It must've looked logical on paper to stick one of the best talkers in the biz and a respected veteran like Piper with a rising star, but Roddy totally trampled all over Sean's devil's advocate gimmick that had been building some steam.

WWE lost interest in that side of things and leaned on Piper's mic work for a while before dropping the team as an ongoing concern for TV. Still, the pair did work a match, so they defo count as a forgotten/obscure team.
