10 Observations From An Evening With Kurt Angle
3. Undertaker Vs. Angle At WrestleMania

The long rumoured Undertaker and Kurt Angle WrestleMania match from 2006 was discussed at the event, with Kurt mentioning that 'Taker had pitched to Vince McMahon for Angle to face The Dead Man in Chicago at 'Mania 22.
Angle made some interesting observations about Undertaker, saying that up until that point he was always facing green guys or being put in situations where he couldnt have a classic WrestleMania match. Kurt had hoped hed be able to work with The Phenom and give him that but sadly Vince vetoed the idea.
The conversation then turned to Angle praising guys like Steve Austin, Mick Foley and Triple H, remarking that when he started in the WWF in 1999, that he was green as grass and they were all selfless, took him under their wing and made sure he had the chance to succeed in the company.
Throughout the night, you got a sense that Kurt would love to go back to WWE and made sure to be complimentary to the right people while also portraying an honesty that the audience seemed to appreciate as it felt like when he answered a question, he really did open up.
