10 Obvious Mistakes WWE Keep Making

1. Debuting NXT Talent Without A Plan

This is a personal pet peeve and a cardinal sin to anyone who enjoys WWE's developmental brand.

When talent are called up to the main roster from NXT, a long-term plan should be in place that ensures they become pro-active, meaningful members of the touring crew. Unfortunately, and with alarming regularity, that is far from the case. AOP, No Way Jose, SAnitY and The Riott Squad are recent, prime examples.

Going back further, The Ascension, Tye Dillinger and Apollo Crews have all failed to catch fire the way they did at Full Sail. This is a problem; WWE keep repeating the same mistakes, and it forces them to press the reset button. That's the case with The Authors Of Pain.

A talented promo man (who has made a habit out of exceeding expectations throughout his career) like Drake Maverick has a decent stab at re-creating AOP's aura. It's an aura they've lost since moving up from NXT, ditching Paul Ellering and losing to Titus Worldwide.

There was zero point calling Akam and Rezar up without knowing where they'd slot in on the main roster. Seeing one of NXT's best play second-fiddle to The B-Team has been depressing for any hardcore fan of the in-house feeder brand.
