10 Oldest World Champions In Wrestling History

8. Kurt Angle - 46 Years, 53 Days

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki_x6oav4hY Date: January 31st, 2015 (to air on television March 20th, 2015) Event: Impact Age Of Champion: 46 years, 53 days (101 days at time of airing) At a time when seemingly everyone was hoping to see Kurt Angle return to WWE for a round of "dream matches" with people like Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and so on before being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, Kurt once again decided to re-sign with TNA, enjoying their easier travel and work load in his age, and with all of those miles on his tires, so to speak. In an episode of Impact that was taped nearly two months in advance (which says a lot about TNA, as a whole), Angle squared off with the champion, Lashley. There's a natural rivalry between both men, with their amateur wrestling backgrounds, and they've worked well together in the past. This time around, Angle goes on to win the TNA World Title for the first time in nearly three-and-a-half years. It's his sixth reign as champion, tying Jeff Jarrett for the most reigns at the top in company history. He's 46 years old, and has seen his body become incredibly broken down in recent years, but here he is (or is about to be), back on top. Many are calling it a last "thank you" from the company for re-signing. Whatever it is, it will be interesting to watch his latest reign unfold.
