10 Oldest World Champions In Wrestling History

4. Ric Flair - 51 Years, 94 Days

Date: May 29th, 2000 Event: Nitro Age Of Champion: 51 years, 94 days Think back to the Diamond Dallas Page entry, where the game of "hot potato" that WCW was playing with their World Title was discussed. That continued with the month of May, which was sheer insanity. David Arquette was the champion coming into the month, but lost the title to Jeff Jarrett at Slamboree on May 7th. Ric Flair defeated Jarrett for the title on the May 15th episode of Nitro, but was stripped of the belt by Vince Russo the following week. In that same episode, Jarrett defeated Kevin Nash for the vacant title, only to drop the title to Nash at the next night's Thunder taping. Six days later, Nash literally gave Flair the title, saying that he never lost it to begin with, but in the exact same night, Flair dropped the title back to Jarrett. If you're keeping track, that's six title changes, involving four people, in the span of 22 days. At that stage of his career, Flair probably had no business being the World Champion, even in that weird manner. Yet another reason why WCW flamed out in such an epic fashion.
