10 Oldest Wrestlers To Ever Compete At WWE SummerSlam
9. Finlay
A severely underrated talent, Fit Finlay began wrestling in his native Northern Ireland in the mid-1970s. After a solid run in WCW, Finlay became a trainer when the WWF purchased the company in 2001. Despite many successes - including training the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton - Finlay yearned to return to the ring.
In January 2006, days before his 48th birthday, The Belfast Bruiser made his first official in-ring WWE appearance on an episode of SmackDown. During his first year on the roster he feuded with a young Bobby Lashley, won the United States Championship, and competed at his first ever WrestleMania. He would also be joined by Hornswoggle during this period, which may or not be something to celebrate, depending on your preference.
The following year, Finlay made his first and only appearance at SummerSlam. He fought Kane in the opening match, losing in under ten minutes to The Big Red Machine at the age of 49 years 6 months and 26 days. Whilst he didn't win his big SummerSlam debut, the fact that Finlay was able to overcome adversity and get himself on the card is something to be celebrated.
