10 Oldest Wrestlers To Ever Compete At WWE SummerSlam
3. Hulk Hogan
Narrowly missing out on breaking General Adnan's record for Oldest SummerSlam Main Eventer, Hulk Hogan met Shawn Michaels in the main event of SummerSlam 2005 in a match famous for Michaels throwing a massive tantrum. Sadly, this was not Hogan's final SummerSlam appearance, but it's so funny that it should be mentioned as often as possible.
The following year, Hogan returned to SummerSlam to do battle with "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton. Orton already had victories over Dusty Rhodes, Mick Foley, and The Undertaker among others and a win over Hogan would have secured his place as a top star. So, naturally, Hogan won.
To give Hogan a bit of credit, Orton was already very established at this point and had even been World champion two years earlier. Still, it is very much in line with Hogan's character to refuse to job to a younger guy, especially considering Hogan was 53 years and nine days old at the time - 27 years older than Randy.
Still, what's done is done, and Hogan's win over Orton means he officially has the best record in SummerSlam history - 7-0 - which I'm sure made Randy feel so much better about losing.
