10 Oldest Wrestlers To Ever Compete At WWE SummerSlam

2. Ric Flair

In the match immediately after Hogan vs Orton, Ric Flair proved to everyone that he was certifiably insane. Whilst a 53-year-old Hogan cruised to victory over Orton, a 57 year five month and 26 day old Flair battled Mick Foley in an I Quit match.

Foley - who, at 41-years-old, was a relative spring chicken in this match - started out hot but Flair soon gained control. The Nature Boy knocked Foley out and the referee tried to stop the match, but Flair refused to let it end until Foley said "I Quit". This led to Flair dishing out even more punishment until Melina - a storyline friend of Foley's - threw in the towel. But Flair still didn't stop.

Flair then threatened Melina until Mick did the honourable thing and quit to save his friend. It was a really well told story that hid Flair's limitations and ended a bitter rivalry that wove elements of real life into the story.

Flair also has a perfect record at SummerSlam, but he pips Hogan to the post as the event's oldest winner. Just another record to add to the long list of achievements in The Nature Boy's impressive resume.
