This is still a dream for many wrestling fans, and it's understandable why fans gravitate to Sting v Undertaker as often as they do. Both men are mysterious shadow-dwellers who come and go as they please, and command respect as the leaders of whatever locker room they happen to step in. Unfortunately, the Sting v Undertaker match we may or may not get at next year's WrestleMania is very different to the one we would have got last year. Before, the story would be that The Undertaker has conquered every man that stepped foot in WWE, but here comes the one man who has never stepped foot in WWE. It'd be the ultimate WWF loyalist taking on the ultimate WCW loyalist at the biggest show of the year, with The Undertaker's legendary streak on the line. Now, we live in a post-Streak world. Brock Lesnar conquered The Undertaker's undefeated Streak at WrestleMania and it changed the entire dynamic of what WrestleMania is. While The Undertaker v Sting can and should still happen at WrestleMania, WWE missed an opportunity to have it be part of the longest streak in entertainment history, but perhaps that's for the best? Sting is an icon, indeed he is "The Icon", and he should be more than just another victim of The Streak. Now, The Undertaker is free of the shackles of The Streak, and anything can happen, which makes the potential match even more exciting.
