10 Other Wrestling Figures Netflix Need To Make A Documentary Series About
9. Antonio Inoki
The grandfather of Japanese wrestling is Antonio Inoki. He's something of a broad Vince McMahon parallel in the country, except that he started out as a performer himself (and except for a number of other details). His rise to the top of the industry and subsequent formation of New Japan Pro Wrestling could make for a documentary that is just as interesting to watch as McMahon's.
Not only would this be amazing for wrestling fans, but it could really open people's eyes to the fact that WWE isn't the only company that produces wrestling. Many unfamiliar with the sport aren't aware that there are alternative places, and seeing the life and career of a man who created one of these would certainly do a lot to educate them about the scale of the industry.
It could also act as an excellent gateway for casual fans into the fantastic world of NJPW.
