If there's one certain way to get over in the diva division it's flashing your skirt up and showing your underwear. That's what Melina is best remembered for from her mid 2000's WWE run, a split legged ring entrance that left male fans in awe. Which makes it all the stranger that WWE were all set to script Melina as a transexual in 2006. We had seen her crotch on a weekly basis, she was clearly not endowed with the male anatomy; yet someone in creative suddenly wanted to tell the audience that Melina was a man! It would never have made sense and clearly would have humiliated the MNM manager. Why were WWE considering the story? It might have been because Melina was disliked in the locker room, she had a way for rubbing people up the wrong way with a perceived attitude. There was also the allegation that she was having an affair with Dave Batista. This real life affair played out on screen when Melina tried to seduce Batista at a Smackdown episode. The storyline then went that Melina accused Batista of "forcing himself on her". The payoff to this would somehow have ended up being that Melina was a man. Pro Wrestling Insider reported that this ending was cancelled after Stephanie McMahon voiced concern over the negative impact it would have on Melina's career. The story ended up brushed aside and we were all able to carry on lusting over Melina's beauty.
