10 Most Outrageous TNA Gimmicks Of All Time

1. Suicide

When you decide to create a wrestler specifically for video game only a certain amount can go right. Especially when it's a video game coming from and focused on TNA. The character of suicide was created as a wrestler who can't remember who he is after beaten beyond recognition by The Latin American Xchange (notable members include Konan, Homicide, and Hernandez) for not taking a dive in his championship match, and being pretty much leaving him for dead in Mexico. This not only accomplished their confirming of LAX being portrayed as legitimate stereotypes but it also helped to build a guy that's been beaten so badly he can't remember who he is or what he's doing (even going as far as saying he has Alzheimer's) and they chose to name him Suicide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b65hdK_Qg0 Add to that the game was released in 2008 and one can't help but be reminded of the Chris Benoit tragedy just a year before. So there was always a dark cloud hanging around the gimmick from the start. Thus, it comes as no surprise that they've renamed and now repackaged him as a part of James Storm's new stable along with Sonata. While the days of Suicide are long gone the days of outrageous wrestler and match gimmicks in TNA are seemingly here to stay. Also here to stay is our community of wrestling fans, and the best, easiest way to keep it growing strong is to leave comments below as to who or what matches you beleive are missing from this list. Make sure to send comments via social media as well @jeremyschmitt69 on twitter.
