8. John Cena Finally Turns Heel
At this point, fans have accepted that a John Cena heel turn is never going to happen. It would have happened years ago if WWE were ever actually serious about pulling the trigger on it, but the 16 time champ sold way too much (not in the ring) merchandise to his young fan base for Vince to green light the move. McMahon is probably still too haunted by the fan base lost during Steve Austin's shock turn back in 2001 to ever make such a drastic decision again. Instead, early days 'Doctor Of Thuganomics' Cena is the only memories we'll ever have of him as a bad guy.
Of course, that would all go out the window if a second wave attitude era came about. Swerves and heel turns were par for the course during the original TV-14 rated era, with everyone from The Undertaker to The Rock unceremoniously turning on the WWE Universe.
