10 Most Outrageously Creepy Pro Wrestling Face-Paints

2. Doink The Clown

Just when you finally got through the horrors of Phantasio, Doink comes along and pops your red balloon of hope with his lit cigar. Doink the Clown, a character created by Road Warrior Hawk and originated by Matt Osborne in the mid nineties, was the very opposite of what you wanted in a clown. He was rude, crude, and he played nasty tricks on both fans and wrestlers at every arena he went to. Eventually Doink started to play nice, and his tricks became amusing when they were pulled on heels such as Jerry Lawler and Bobby Heenan. The Doink the Clown character has been played by numerous people since Osborne, but no matter who happens to be wearing the attire, that creepy clown paint along with the circus music entrance theme and bizarre behavior in the ring made Doink an unsettling wrestling persona. It also doesn€™t help that Doink€™s rise in popularity was around the same time that Stephen King€™s classic book It had brought Pennywise the Clown into the nightmares of children around the world. The morale here is that clowns are scary, terrible people who will probably try to eat you while you€™re sleeping.
