10 Outsiders To Win WWE Royal Rumble 2020 Match

2. Drew McIntyre

In all honesty, 2019 should have been the year that Drew McIntyre won world title gold. He was fresh off his split from Dolph Ziggler and owned a dominant victory over Kurt Angle, but a failed alliance and Shane McMahon, an untimely injury and multiple high-profile losses to Roman Reigns caused his stock to plummet.

That said, 2020 should be a different story. He's already off to a strong start in the new decade, and based off his mannerisms on Monday's Raw, it sure looks like he's headed for a babyface turn sooner rather than later.

There'd be no better time for WWE to pull the trigger on that than in the Royal Rumble match, especially with current WWE champion Brock Lesnar entering at number one.

There were rumblings at this time last year that McIntyre could have been in line for a WrestleMania match with Lesnar, but WWE went in a different direction with both men. However, McIntyre eliminating The Beast Incarnate from this year's Rumble before going on to win the whole thing would be a perfectly logical way of setting up that mega 'Mania clash.

Lesnar vs. McIntyre makes sense and is a matchup fans would pay to see. Fingers crossed WWE doesn't waste his momentum this year by relegating him to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal instead.
