Let's be honest. The Ultimate Warrior's in-ring abilities left a lot to be desired. He was by far one of the most overrated guy of the 80s, or any generation for that matter. The fact he was pitted against so many jobbers in squash matches papered over the cracks in his move set which wouldn't get half as 'over' in today's market. let's not forget, his charisma, energy, physique and those promos of his are what makes his legacy so great. His run to the ring was unique and got the crowd pumped up for his match. But the truth of that was he suffered from nerves and tried not to see all the fans, apparently. Those were the reasons he was pushed to the main event spots, given titles, and was supposedly 'handed the baton' by Hogan, something The Hulkster has admitted he didn't agree with. Once more, let's be honest, he dropped it. All you need to do is watch The Rise and Fall of The Ultimate Warrior if you need to see why. He obviously made amends before his life was cut so tragically short and took his rightful place in the Hall of Fame. It's not to say he doesn't deserve his place in there but given an evaluation the total package that is 'The Ultimate Warrior,' he was lucky to achieve as much as he did.
