10 Most Patriotic American WWE Stars Ever

1. Hulk Hogan

WWE.comWWE.comHulk Hogan represented America better than any pro wrestler ever. There were others that had the American gimmick, but none of them won like Hogan did. When we were kids, we didn't care about the other stuff that much. We cared about the wins. Hogan was the most dominant figure in wrestling in the 1980s and into the early 1990s. People loved him because he was the best. It didn't matter that he was below average in the ring or that his moves weren't that exciting. The guy produced results. Fans wanted a winner and they got him in Hulk Hogan. These days, Hogan would be booed like John Cena is although it likely would be even more just because of how repetitive his stuff was. Then there was the song. It fit him so perfectly. It's probably the most famous song in the history of pro wrestling:
When it comes crashing down, and it hurts inside, Ya' gotta take a stand, it don't help to hide, Well, you hurt my friends, and you hurt my pride, I gotta be a man; I can't let it slide, I am a real American, fight for the rights of every man, I am a real American, fight for what's right, fight for your life!

When the dominant Japanese Yokozuna (as a character anyway) was champion, Hogan beat him. There were others too. You get the point. Hulk Hogan is a lot of things to a lot of different people, but more than anything he was a real American hero.
