10 Pay-Per-View Concepts WWE Needs To Bring Back

9. Championship Scramble

Last seen almost a decade ago at The Bash 2009, the Championship Scramble was a stipulation rather than a pay-per-view, but there is no reason it could not become one. The idea behind the match was that two men (or women) started in the ring, then every 5 minutes a new wrestler entered.

If anyone scored a pinfall or submission during this time they became the ‘interim champion’, which at Unforgiven 2008 led to a brief, wonderful moment where The Brian Kendrick was WWE Champion. When all of the competitors were in the ring the match would continue for 5 further minutes, then once the time limited expired whoever got the last pinfall or submission was declared champion.

It was fun, frenzied, and exciting – exactly what WWE needs at the moment. With so many titles floating around these days and such a mammoth roster, WWE could do a Championship Scramble pay-per-view featuring only scramble matches. It might be overkill, but if it was a mix of cruiserweights, tag teams, women, and both major titles it would be different enough that it might just work.
