War Games is long overdue for a return! Ever since WCW went out of business, fans have been anticipating a return of the War Games match, only for nothing to ever come of it. It’s a bit of a shame. Sure, Vince McMahon didn’t come up with the concept, but even he’d have to admit it’s a good one. Let’s do away with all this time apart.

If you recall, not one, but two wrestling rings are placed side-by side for War Games, and a gigantic steel cage surrounds it. Like a Hell in a Cell match, there’s no getting out...unless you have teleportation skills like The Ultimate Warrior. Two men start othe match, each representing a different team, and after five minutes, another wrestler comes out, this goes on until everyone is in one of the rings. And THEN pinfalls count.

The match had mystery, it had drama, and it had a lot of violence. There were so many classic faction battles in there, and so many fond memories of the fans, that bringing it back seems like a natural idea...one we’re still waiting unreasonably long for.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
