10 Pay-Per-Views WWE Must Bring Back For Brand Split 2016

1. King Of The Ring

WWE has had so much success with the King of the Ring winners that it’s a wonder they keep forgetting that the show ever existed. Yes, not everyone who won the tournament has benefited from it, and there has been a poor choice or two (Billy Gunn, Mabel), but Steve Austin’s 3:16 promo alone should have been enough to save this event from the garbage bin for the next 200 years.

If the show comes back, the winner absolutely has to be protected this time around. The last two Kings in Wade Barrett and Sheamus were unbelievably buried, as if they were being punished somehow for succeeding, rendering the entire tournament worthless. Whoever wears the crown next needs to be picking up wins for months, making it seem like the King of the Ring truly is the stepping stone the company makes it out to be.

Vince McMahon is apparently not a big fan of tournaments, but every major sport is built off of them. They provide unpredictability, and excitement, as we don’t know for sure what matches we’ll see. If the boss can get over that, and realize what the tournament has already done for his company, then it should be the next pay-per-view he should decide to bring back.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
