10 People CM Punk Pissed Off Most In His WWE Career

10. John Laurinaitis

WWE€™s former Executive Vice President of Talent Operations never was a superstar in the ring. Despite a 15-year wrestling career, Johnny Ace never achieved the success that his older brother, Road Warrior Animal, did, nor did he really break through in the United States (he enjoyed some success in Japan). Laurinaitis€™ notoriety came in his roles backstage as a booker, producer and executive in charge of talent relations in WCW and WWE. Those kind of roles can make you fairly unpopular at times, and CM Punk did not hesitate to lash out at the former Johnny Ace, name-dropping him during the infamous 2011 €˜pipebomb€™ and continuing his verbal assaults as Laurinaitis took on an onscreen role as interim Raw GM. Punk laid into Ace about everything €“ his subpar wrestling career, superstars he mishandled, his general lack of charisma €“ which had to grate on Laurinaitis. Granted, promos are fairly scripted in WWE these days, but Punk is known for not following a script. Some of those comments had to sting a lot, especially when you consider it€™s not your wrestling character being mocked (such as DX asking about Kofi€™s faux-Jamaican accent), but your entire professional career being belittled in front of millions. http://youtu.be/8trYKNsMLfU?t=1m9s In the video above, you can see Laurinaitis mouth what looks like, €œThat€™s far enough€ as Punk begins to eviscerate him. Given what Punk says about his career, it€™s a fair assumption he went a little too far with at least a couple comments at some point during their various promos.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
