10 People With More WWE Wins Than Sting

Continuing the WrestleMania big match theme, another non-wrestler with a victory here is none other than boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather had the privilege of topping the poster at WrestleMania XXIV, for his match against the Big Show. It was a No Disqualification bout, allowing the natural heel Mayweather an out of sorts. Mayweather was originally supposed to be the underdog babyface in the bout, but the guy is just so unlikeable that he essentially turned himself heel by being himself.

With the possible exception of Vince McMahon, I can't remember a more natural heel in the history of wrestling. Everything about Mayweather just screamed 'git', and many were hoping Big Show would wipe the floor with him.

The match itself wasn't exactly a barn burner, but it was what it was. Mayweather used his size and speed to his advantage, as well as his git-status to pick up the win after knocking Show out with some brass knucks. In the WWE ring, Mayweather stood tall.

Which is something Sting is as of yet unable to say.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
