10 People With More WWE Wins Than Sting

3. Michael Cole

For about two solid years, Michael Cole was by far the most annoying thing on WWE television. He's always been kinda terrible, but this is even more impressive when you consider that during this time NXT featured a train wreck of an all-Divas season. Heel Cole was the worst.

Many had lamented the lack of heel commentator, but as soon as Cole turned the lamentations stopped. His incessant whining became unbearable, and not even the beauty of calling his fans the 'Cole Miners' could save it. He was particularly scathing towards Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross, leading to a match between Cole and Lawler at WrestleMania XVII (how awful was that card?).

Lawler originally won the match via submission, but the anonymous RAW General Manager overturned the decision in favour of Cole thanks to the physicality of special referee 'Stonecold' Steve Austin. Cole and Lawler would face off again at the next PPV, Cole teaming with Jack Swagger against Lawler and Ross. Once again, Cole was successful. Whilst he would eventually get his comeuppance by having to kiss Lawler's foot, the record books still show that Michael Cole has two victories in a WWE ring.

Two more than Sting.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
