6. John Laurinaitis
Better known by younger fans as the husky-voiced former General Manager of WWE's Monday Night Raw telecast, John Laurinaitis was previously a well-regarded wrestler in Japan. Great success in North America would never really come to pass for the man, who went under the ring name 'Johnny Ace' more often than not. The terrible 'Dynamic Dudes' tag-team with Shane Douglas in the early-90's did nothing for Ace in WCW, and has to be seen to be believed. Trying to portray Douglas and Laurinaitis as young and hip, the entire thing came across as dorky and unlikeable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUV6oTSN3Rk After that aberration of a character, there was little chance of turning the corner for the guy, who was tarred with paint that simply wouldn't wash off. The Rockers they weren't, and The Dynamic Dudes were an excellent example of how wrestling promotions can greatly misjudge their talent.
