10 People You Should Support For WWE Hall Of Fame Class 2016
10. Muhammad Ali
Getting the standard celebrity induction out of the way first, it's pretty surprising that Muhammad Ali hasn't been honoured to date. Privately, WWE may have reached out to the man and he showed lack of interest, but he certainly deserves to at least be considered. Will 2016 be the year that world-famous boxer gets inducted? Not only did Ali inspire a lot of wrestlers with his infamous verbal style, but the boxer was himself influenced by 'Gorgeous' George Wagner, taking the pomp and ceremony of professional wrestling and helping make a name for himself as a brash upstart boxer called Cassius Clay. Lashing out at opponents in a style which would become synonymous in wrestling as the art of the promo, Clay was a phenom when a camera was shoved in his face. At the inaugural WrestleMania supercard, Muhammad Ali was enlisted as the 'Special Guest Referee' for the main event pitting Hulk Hogan and Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. Even though he conducted his duties more on the outside of the ring as an enforcer of sorts, it was still a huge deal at the time, and WWE should definitely be thinking about including the boxing legend next year.
