8. The Fabulous Freebirds
WrestleMania week will be held in and around the Texas area, which could be the perfect time to honour the legendary trio known as The Fabulous Freebirds. The group has already been entered into the Professional Wrestling Hall Of Fame this year, but WWE could do a lot worse than honouring one of the best-remembered heel factions in grappling history in 2016. One of the only things perhaps stopping the Freebirds from going in is the fact that they never really competed for any real length of time in the WWF/WWE, only having a brief run in 1984. Nonetheless, Michael 'P.S' Hayes is a key member of the WWE creative team, and has been for years, so he's very much well liked by the McMahon family as a trusted ally. Perhaps WWE could go one step further, allowing Kevin Von Erich (one of the only surviving members of that clan) to induct them. The Fabulous Freebirds had a legendary rivalry with The Von Erichs in World Class Championship Wrestling throughout the early 80's, so it would be a nice touch to hear some stories from that era. Of course, Hayes and Jimmy Garvin are the only remaining members of the Freebirds still alive, but that shouldn't stop them from being inducted.
