10 People You Won't Believe Are Still Employed By WWE

2. Hornswoggle

Has anyone ever spent as much time with Vince McMahon's promotion while simultaneously doing nothing of any real note than Hornswoggle? An employee of WWE's since 2006, he got over as the sidekick to Irish ass-kicker Finlay. He was small and energetic and the people ate up every opportunity to see him interfere in a match. They loved when he was named the illegitimate son of Vince McMahon and appreciated his involvement with D-Generation in 2009. Since 2010, though, he has been irrelevant. Even when he feuded with El Torito in 2014 (including an excellent match at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view), fans recognized that it was a short-term program designed to get his fellow mini over. Shortly after losing to Torito and having his head shaved at the Payback event, he again disappeared from television. He has done nothing of note since then. Outside of community and charitable work with WWE, his purpose remains a mystery. So much so that his employment with the company would likely come as a surprise to many. After all, why would the company continue to pay someone they do not use, let alone someone who cannot be thrown on the occasion episode of Superstars to face Heath Slater or Zack Ryder to at least justify a paycheck? Yet he remains part of the roster, dusted off and used in the occasional and horrifically planned comedy segment, much to the dismay of the fans forced to sit through that three-minute span of television time.
